Jack Harrison Named to MLS Team of the Week

According to an official NYCFC Press Release, “New York City FC midfielder Jack Harrison was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for the 17th week of the 2016 MLS season.”

This news comes off of a big NYCFC win over the NY Red Bulls on Sunday July 3rd.  Harrison, who in that match scored his second MLS goal and assisted David Villa to put the boys in blue up 2-0, is continuing his strong rookie season in NY.

The 19-year old Harrison currently sits with 2 goals and 2 assists after just 4 MLS starts for the club.  His prowess has surely stunned teammates, opponents and fans alike.

Jack Harrison was named the No. 1 overall pick at the 2016 MLS SuperDraft, but was injured early in the season, causing him to miss our on the better part of the first half of the season.  Since making his debut, Jack Harrison is definitely a player to watch and admire as the electrifying season continues for NYCFC.
